6. Price List Management
this time I would like to post how to create Price List in ADempiere.
Price list is a listing of prices for different goods or services. Every company has to have a price list which is used for their main transaction. I think we all arleady know what is Price list for rite? then I will just continue to make price list in our ADempiere Application.
in one company we can find not only one price list but, it can be two or more price list. for example, Price list for puchasing, for selling, etc. in this case, I will make 2 kind of price list for my company.
"how do we start?"
before we make price list, we must have price list schema first. Price list schema is just for naming the different price.. here I will make, Purchase Schema and Sales Schema.
to start it, from main menu go to Material management | Material Management Rules | Price list schema.
name : PURCHASE SCHEMA
valid from : August 1st 2010
Discount Type : Price list
and then click Save.
To create SALES SCHEMA, do the same step.
after finishing creating Purchase schema, then go to Price List Menu, we will create Purchase Price List and Sales Price List
in the Price list tab fill the data as follow :
Name : PURCHASE PRICE LIST
currency : USD
save and then go to Version Tab.
Fill the data as follow :
Name : PURCHASE PRICE LIST (USD)
Price list schema : PURCHASE SCHEMA
valid from : August 1st 2010
klick Create price list and this following window will appear
Click OK, and you already have a new price list. To create SALES PRICE LIST, do the same step but in the Price List tab, you must mark the Sales Price list options.
